How much does a sperm donor get paid?
Cryobank OC sperm donors earn up to $100 for each acceptable donation and may donate up to twice per week. Additional compensation opportunities are available throughout the donor program, allowing qualified donors to earn up to $5,200 over six months.
How long do I have to commit to the Sperm Donor Program?
Cryobank OC Sperm Donors must commit to our program for at least one year and make one weekly donation. We encourage all donors to refrain from ejaculation for at least 48 hours before each donation to provide an acceptable sample.
How much do sperm donors make per donation?
Sperm donors earn up to $100 for every acceptable donation, with additional opportunities to earn compensation throughout the donor program. Cryobank OC’s Sperm Donor Coordinator can provide more information about donor compensation, additional incentives, and potential earnings.
What disqualifies you from donating sperm?
Sperm banks may disqualify sperm donors if their semen sample is of poor quality, they have a family history of genetic diseases or conditions, they have sexually transmitted diseases, have participated in illicit drug use, don't meet age and height requirements, can't provide three generations of family medical history, or have previously donated sperm with another sperm bank.
Is it hard to donate sperm?

How do I prepare for a sperm analysis?
To prepare for your semen analysis, you should abstain from ejaculation for at least 48-72 hours to provide an adequately concentrated sample. It is also important to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs before supplying a sample.
Why wait 48 hours for a sperm test?
Refraining from ejaculation for at least 48 hours before providing a sperm sample will ensure a higher sperm count. Once you ejaculate, the epididymis is emptied and begins to refill with sperm. If you provide a sample too soon after ejaculation, your sperm count may return inaccurate results.
What is a normal sperm count?

What are the steps to becoming a Cryobank OC Sperm Donor?
The initial step to becoming part of Cryobank OC's Sperm Donor Program is completing the online application. Upon acceptance, you will receive an email with confirmation and clear instructions on submitting your first semen sample for analysis at our laboratory.
Once your initial semen sample is approved, the next step is to schedule a visit to our office for a family history and medical interview. This appointment, which lasts about one hour, will include questions about your health and the health history of three generations of your blood relatives. During this visit, you will also complete the necessary paperwork to become a sperm donor at Cryobank OC.
The final step is to visit our laboratory, where you'll meet with our medical director for a physical exam and blood draw. You will also meet with our in-house psychologist to receive a psychological exam. Once these steps are complete, you will officially become a Cryobank OC Sperm Donor, and compensation will begin immediately!
Why was I denied after my initial semen analysis?
Cryobank OC considers various factors when determining initial eligibility for men wishing to join its Sperm Donor Program. A denial does not necessarily indicate a poor semen analysis. The sperm processing and freezing procedure is complex, and many men with average sperm counts do not progress past this first evaluation. In fact, only about 5% of all applicants make it through this initial stage.
